Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino is a soft and light blend of 70% cotton and 30% wool.  The wool adds bounciness and elasticity to the cotton, making our Cotton Merino a lovely predominantly cotton yarn that can be used all year round and that is perfect in everyday garments.

Our Merino wool comes from non-mulesed sheep and our spinning mill follows ethical, technical and environmental standards, creating  yarns free from harmful chemicals.

The yarn is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificeret

 

Composition: 70% Organic Cotton / 30% Merino
Yarn weight: Fingering / 50g
Yarn length: 250 metres / 273 yards
Needles: 3 mm
Gauge: 28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cm
Care: Hand wash, reshape whilst damp, dry flat.

Project help

Knitting
As a rule of thumb, you'll need minimum 3 skeins of any fingering yarn / 5 skeins of DK yarn , to make a top of a decent length.

For cropped tops or sizes below UK10, 2 skeins of fingering yarn can make a basic top.

Crochet
Below UK10, 3 skeins of fingering yarn and 5 Skeins of DK yarn

Kindly ensure sufficient yarn is purchased from the same batch as repeated runs will be visually different

Care for your yarn

May bleed on first wash. Love your makes by handwashing in cool water with detergent for wool and silk.
